Company Overview
Memorial Medical Center (MMC) is a not-for-profit hospital located in the city of Ashland, Wisconsin that serves patients from seven counties in northwest Wisconsin and Gogebic County in Michigan. MMC has over 60 full-time physicians on staff and over 500 employees dedicated to providing quality health care.
MMC offers inpatient and outpatient services including: medical-surgical; critical care; obstetrics including labor, delivery, postpartum and recovery (LDPR) suites; behavioral health; urgent care; and 24-hour emergency care.
Company History
For many years, Ashland, Wisconsin had two hospitals that served the area, Trinity Hospital and St. Joseph’s. In the early 1970s, these organizations determined they could better serve the community by combining forces, and Memorial Medical Center was born.
Throughout the years, MMC has undergone many changes and expansions. This expansion continues today, with the construction of a new surgical wing, scheduled for completion in 2021.
