Company Overview
Kinetic Sports Medicine and Performance is a privately owned, out-of-network physical therapy practice that specializes in caring for competitive and recreational athletes throughout their rehab and return-to-play process.
The company is founded on high quality, one-on-one physical therapy care blending the latest technology, research and clinical experience to provide the highest level of care to athletes. Our clinics are all located in full gyms with access to dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, cable machines and large turf spaces. Additionally, we utilize:
- Noraxon 3D motion analysis for running, golfing, hitting, throwing and return-to-sport assessment
- Hawkins Dynamics Dual Force Plates
- Kinvent Dynamometry for testing strength and rate of force development
- Exxcentric K-Box
- Blood Flow Restriction
- Underwater Treadmill
Patients are all seen in a one-on-one environment without use of aides or techs. Clinicians have 60 minutes for each follow up visit and 90 minutes for each new evaluation.
Company History
Kinetic Sports Medicine and Performance (“Kinetic”) was founded in 2018 by Michael and Lauren Falk. They believed in the idea that the athletes in the Milwaukee Area deserved a better outlet for physical therapy and rehabilitation than was currently available. Over the past 5 years, we have helped over 900 different athletes recover from injury, manage their pain and enhance their performance. We have supported athletes ranging from professional players, to high school athletes to recreationally active adults trying to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
Lauren was a athletic trainer at Marquette University and Michael was a seasonal intern on the Green Bay Packers Medical Staff. They set up and designed the clinic to mimic the environment, equipment and treatment philosophy to help bring the "elite" medical care experience seen in D1 athletics and professional sports to athletes in the Milwaukee area.
The clinic has grown each year and now has 2 locations with 5 employees. Throughout the growth the clinic has maintained its mission of "Helping Athletes Return to Play and Maximize their Performance." Additionally it focuses daily on the core values the company was founded on of ownership, teamwork, continuous improvement, integrity and a "we care" attitude with every patient interaction.
